AASL Content Standard 3: Information and Knowledge
Inquiry-based learning is on the rise. No longer are students expected to sit quietly and listen to a teacher lecture in order to pass a test. Teachers now recognize how essential student inquiry is to teaching, and they look to their school librarians to lead the way. The 21st Century is an exciting time for school librarians because they have the knowledge, tools, and skills to assist students in their digital research, and thus, their own learning. The artifacts listed under the indicators below truly show how dedicated I am to using my own research knowledge and information in order to help students learn through their own inquiry.
