AASL Content Standard 1: Teaching for Learning
Above all else, a school librarian is a teacher. She has valuable skills and knowledge to pass on to her students. Being a capable teacher is an essential part of being a school librarian because her students number in the hundreds or thousands; all of the school's students are her own. The following five artifacts reflect my competency as a librarian-teacher through my dedication to essential curricula, my knowledge of the research process, my lesson creativity, and my understanding of reading and learning levels.
